Laurence Bryant

Laurence moved from the rural west coast of Scotland to Coaley with his wife Jean and sons Darren and Alan in 1995. Born in Bath, he grew up in rural communities to the east of the city. He is an Engineering Project Manager for the Ministry of Defence and uses the local rail service to commute to north Bristol where he works. He has been Coaley's Tree Warden for over three years and many of his interests have an environmental bent. In particular, his principal hobby of gardening is currently being bolstered by an horticultural course, that whilst interesting, is challenging to schedule into the day. He also has many practical based interests related to DIY, some more successful than others. Last year he bought a sailing dinghy which will, he hopes, provide hours of fun, Jean is not so sure! He recently agreed to be co-opted onto the Parish Council and is pleased to have the opportunity to put something back into the village where he and his family have made their home.

Lynette Wilcox

Lynette Wilcox is a member of the Recreation and Leisure Committee. In the past she has been Chairman of the Coaley Village Playgroup and still maintains close links with the school. Originally from a Dorset farming family, Lynette trained and worked as a veterinary nurse in the area before marrying Robert and together they built their home in Field Lane. As a typical farmers wife she divides her time between being a mum / housewife, looking after Timothy (8) and Andrew (6), work on the farm and working part-time for Tyndale Farm Veterinary Practice. She maintains a keen interest in rural affairs.  Lynette demonstrates admirably that with commitment, family support and organisation it is possible to juggle home, work and extra curricular activities in equal measure.

Daryl Bird

Daryl started his working life in 1981 with the Royal Navy's Submarine Service for 9 years, during this period he met his wife Sue, this was some 20 years ago - They married in 1992 and settled in Kingswood, Wotton-Under-Edge.

He has 2 children, James and Georgina.

His interests include walking and camping.
