Refuse and recycling collection in bad weather
Refuse collection in Coaley is early on Tuesday.
We will always try to collect refuse and recycling on scheduled collection days, but adverse weather, such as snowy conditions, may mean that we are unable to do so.
If this happens:
• we will try our best to return within 2 days depending on weather and road conditions around the district. Therefore please leave your rubbish and recycling out for this period
• if we have not managed to collect within two days, we will not be returning, so please bring your refuse and/or recycling back in and put it out for collection, as normal, for the next scheduled collection day
If your collection was scheduled for a Wednesday and you have not received a collection, please leave your refuse and/or recycling out for collection until 6pm on Friday. See the table below for more details.
|Collection Due||Leave Refuse and Recycling out Until 6pm on|
REFUSE (Weekly Collection)
If your refuse collection was missed for the reasons above please put it out for collection the following week.
RECYCLING (Fortnightly Collection)
If your recycling collection was missed for the reasons above please put your recycling out for the next scheduled date on your calendar.
Ideally, it would help us if you would place additional recycling in containers of a similar size to your recycling box, or separated by each different material, in carrier bags. PLEASE DO NOT USE BIN LINERS.
Alternatively please use the alternative recycling points around the district – locations can be found here - www.recycleforgloucestershire.com/recycle/at_home/stroud.html.
Updates on the progress of waste services during bad weather will be displayed on our web site and we will provide the local radio stations and papers with the latest information.
